  • Science Night is THIS Wednesday March 23rd. Dinner will be available starting at 5 pm. You can get a large hot dog, chips and a drink (sports drink or water) for $3.00. The Kona Ice truck will be here as well. You can earn EXTRA CREDIT in your science class for participating in the event and win prizes such as Rubios, iMiddle Gear, a Sphero and more. This is NOT a drop off event - Bring your adult. Hope to see you there!

  • PAC Reminders: Cell phones are required to be turned off and out of sight throughout the school day unless used in the classroom for educational purposes approved by the teacher.

The Move-a-thon fundraiser will happen right before lunch on Friday. Bring a $5 donation to participate. Every $5 donation earns you a raffle ticket. You can win prizes such as Islands gift cards, Rubio's gift cards, and Dave & Busters gift cards. The more you donate, the more chances you have to win. Be sure to turn in your money by the start of school on Friday in order to participate. Those students not participating in the Move-a-thon will remain with their 7th period teacher.

6th/7th/8th Grade Focus: Share your Genius Hour Progress

It is time to show off the documentation of your progress with your Genius Hour Project and gain feedback from a new peer. Buddy up with someone NEW now.
When students are seated...
1. Show your teacher your documentation of your second application in your Student Planning Page . Open this up now.
2. While you wait for your teacher to come around, show your table partner your progress so far and take turns asking and answering the questions below. As you describe your project your partner will listen and provide encouraging statements and suggestions before asking the next question.
  • What is your project about?
  • Why did you choose this project?
  • Describe what you did in your first attempt.
  • What did you learn through this process so far?
  • What will you do in your third attempt or as your continue your work?
3. Your third application/documentation due date is 4/5/16. Be ready!
8th Graders should also continue to file away their Best Works to prepare for their iShowcase.

Students with no infractions under the "Cell Phone Policy" section of their PAC may be released 5 minutes early.
